I have a MF (Simplicity) 2925 garden tractor with front and rear PTO. The rear PTO is making some rattling / ringing noises and I want to start by topping off the rear PTO oil (see picture) As best I can tell the rear PTO does not share oil with the hydro transmission. My only problem is that the manual does not specify the grade of oil to go into the PTO. The transmission takes ATF. Does the PTO use separate oil?
