Mantis 7222M Small Tiller, Gas Leaking from Tank vent line?

Hey all, working on an older Mantis 7222M tiller and got it running but now it leaks out of the vent line that runs out of the gas tank and is tucked up into the recoil assembly. Can the little white valve at the end be bad or can it be something else? The tube runs into a grommet that is pushed into the gas tank and ends pretty much when it enters the tank, maybe half an inch.

I have attached a 3 pictures (have to click the > arrow on the embedded link) and a video of the problem at the bottom of this post.

Any ideas?!

Yes I would replace vent valve & hose.

Just got the new lines and vent it, it helped ALOT but still got a few drips. Maybe normal? I popped open the old "vent" and there was nothing inside of it. The new vents have rubber inside of them and i cant blow out just in. Might just have to live with a few drips.

The vent should allow air into the tank, without allowing any deadly, baby whale killing fumes out. And BTW, that leaking gasoline is why we don't have dinosaurs any more.

The thin black piece you noticed inside is the "flapper valve" that does the one-way breathing.
