My LX 188 just stopped running "when" I was mowing, plenty of gas, Battery fully charged, oil was recently changed, cheched the fuses at the ignition board. I turn the key, nothing happens, no dash light,no sounds at all. My head lights work, hour clock is working. I have not manually tried to turn the motor yet (to check if it sieze up). I also checked the seat safety switch seem to be fine. Would love any help, Thank you
I've never worked on one of these, but it sounds like either the safety switch isn't making a good connection, even though it may appear to be plugged in all the way, or you have a loose ground wire. We had problems on our mower with the safety switch not making a good connection but it still looked connected. The wire was cut too short by the manufacturer. So I added app. 3" to the wire and it solved the problem.
