What the CCA needed this mower? Does anyone have a link to a cheap replacement?

The mower spec I pulled up says 255 CCA. Interstate SP-30 (250CCA) or SP-35 (300CCA) should work. Both are under $50 retail. Don't know about other brands. I use Interstate because there's a distributor nearby me and it's easy to drop in and get what I want quickly.

Make sure you get a sealed battery.
Better still an AGM PVR battery.
Standard flooded cell batteries tend not to last long on mowers.

I just replaced my OEM battery on my Toro, it had a 2012 date on it, so I got 6.7 years outta it. It was a SLA battery. (it was only 195cca)

Mine takes an "under the seat" battery, which is only 6-1/4" tall, & all the cheap priced ones are 7-1/4" tall. (naturally).....:confused2: but they are only 200cca.

Anyhow I put in a fresh 350cca unit, with a 1 yr warranty from my Dealer. $59. out the door. My mower starts so fast I swear my hand almost doesn't touch the key & it's running..

And I do put my battery MINDers* on my batteries.

I measure first, then try & find the highest cca rating that will fit.

We recommend a SP-35 for single cylinder engines and an SP-40 for twins.

We stock SP35s and 40s, as posted above. With a battery tender, you can get over 10 years out of a battery, I do.

Agree, I still have the OEM Battery in my '08 Chevy truck, it was built in Nov 2007
