I need help figuring the springs on the throttle/governor please.
The shorter spring, 17 in the attached schematic. (also
here , no 27)
I didn't see where it came from when I disassembled. I thought I could figure it out, but it has me beat, I can't seem to see where it goes.
The Kohler engine manual has a different throttle/governor setup, so no help there.
Any clues would be helpful please?

I think I've figured it out. It seems to run from above the long spring on the governor lever to a tab that stands out from the metal plate main bracket. The engine seems to run ok with this setup. So here's hoping.
