lt 160 after about 5 minutes of running the engine fills up with gas in the oil. how could this be with it still running

John Deere Carburetor Kohler LT160 CV460S AM132199 | eBay carburetor is problem, either purchase kit or new carb., some kits are almost as much as new carb.

When I bought the LT160 I have it had gas in the engine. After changing the oil and filter it ran fine but would have gas in the oil again the next day. After fooling with the carb a while I figured out that the mechanical Fuel pump was bad and allowing gas to go straight into the engine. I changed it to one from Stens or Rotary and have had no more problems. Just something else to consider.
