Hello Everyone,

I have a problem that I'm just not figuring out. I replaced the v-belt on the deck and am attempting to re-attach the PTO cable. The deck is up and secured, the belt strung right but the PTO cable is not fitting the way I am seeing in diagrams. I'm starting to think that the PTO cable should be re-attached before I put the deck back up? Everything is coming close to the way it should be attached, but it's just not fitting properly.

What am I doing wrong?

How about giving us the model number of the tractor so we can see which deck and drive system you have. Coved-19 has disabled the ESP for most the the techs on this forum.

To attach the spring to the idler arm you need to pull it to the left . You need do that in order to get the cable into the mounting bracket because of the brake spring pulling on the idler arm.

Thank you. I will bring that reply to the garage. I will let you know if that helps. I work full time on the weekdays so it might take a day or 3 to get back here.
