Low voltage out of rectifier.

I'm getting 22-23 volts out of the stator at idle.
Coming out of the rectifier/regulator I only get less than 3 volts dc at idle and only 9 volts dc wide open. This is a brand new regulator, also my two old regulators do the same thing. Connections are all good.

WHAT AM I MISSING? IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!

I had a kohler command once that gave low voltage, had been back to the shop several times, gave low readings like that. Pulled the flywheel, and ALL of the magnets were loose and stuck to the stator. How/why it put out any voltage I'll never know.

Your stator voltage seems low to me. What are your engine numbers so I can verify.

That was idle voltage on the stator side. I just went and ran out again and it goes up to 51 volts at wide open throttle.
It's a kohler command pro 14. CH440

51 volts is way out of line. Are you sure that your regulator is grounded. Many techs run a separate ground wire to make sure. Going through the tests in this manual. http://resources.kohler.com/power/k...6.1208541374.1605395086-1274637872.1605395086

If the ground wire doesn't work I suspect you'll need to pull the flywheel. Might find something like this:

Hopefully yours is a lot cleaner.
