I have

YTH20K46 (960450004-05) that when I turn the key on I loose the neg ground to the hour meter. Also motor won't shut off with the key in the off position, have neg charge to coil but is very weak. I have changed key switch and coil same results. I have cleaned the neg points on the frame. Also has new battery. A mouse had chewed the positive wire to fuel solenoid and I replaced that wire. Tractor does run.

" when I turn the key on I loose the neg ground to the hour meter. "
How did you prove this ?

With a test light going from positive to the neg wire at the hour meter
also positive wire to hour meter is hot when key is off

" have neg charge to coil but is very weak. "
How did you measure this ?

also with test light the bulb is very dim at the coil kill tab . But very strong at the coil mounting posts
all spots have been cleaned with sandpaper nice and shining
thank you for the schematics as those are the same as mine.

Sounds like feed back to me. That's my first though.
Test ground with ohm meter not a test light.
Your hour meter should not have power to it with the key off.

Going to pull flywheel to check stators condition

Going to pull flywheel to check stators condition

If the engine runs, look at the diagram.
It tells you the values of the stator disconnected from the voltage regulator.
28 volts AC @ 3600 RPM.
That will tell you if the stator is good or not.
When stator is connected to regulator you will have 9-16 amps DC @3600 rpm going to the battery.

What do you mean negative charge to the coil? Did the new solenoid match the old one?
Was the keyswitch you put on the correct one? The letters on the back must match, the same number of prongs don't mean that they are the same?

Also, re-look at the repair on the wiring to the fuel solenoid, generally wiring problems are where there was some repairing.

Disconnect the kill wire to the ignition while you figure things out,

voltage will damage an ignition coil.

Run a new ground wire from frame to hour meter.

A couple things.
The hour meter connects to A1 of the ignition stitch. You should only have power to hourmeter when key is on.
Most husqvarna mowers have a 12ga black wire that is a common ground for most of the circuits. That wire corroding the ring connector is a common problem on husqvarna mowers. If you have meter check resistance from the coil kill wire to engine block with the ignition switch in the off position the check from kill wire to batt-. What are the resistance readings?
Pull the connector off the ignition switch and measure resistance from G ground terminal in the connector to engine block and then to batt-. What are the resistance readings?
