Hello all, I have a Toro personal pace mower with a Tecumseh 6 hp engine. I need a replacement engine. Will any Briggs engines fit? i'm not a huge fan of Tecumseh engines. thanks
Thanks Mark, I had hoped to find a used engine that would fit .The original engine put a rod through the block, do to a mis- adjusted governor (overspeed).It's a nice mower I bought used.A used Briggs off another mower, that would bolt on with a little fabrication. or a model number for a Briggs thats on another mower that would replace it. Our lawn care company runs the Kawasaki fj180v on all our Toros. We have atleast 6 mowers ranging from 10 to 40 years old, all the same engine. They still make new engines and parts so they're all easy to get and relatively cheap. Do you happen to know what model deck you have?
