my son just bought a house and needs a lawn tractor to mow his lawn
he can't afford much
i saw this on CL but don't know Murray riding lawn mower
seller says he can't get drive belt on pully
what do you think?

For $150 I would jump on it. The belt is a little tricky to get in but we are here to help.
Ok so worst case is the transaxle is bad. I think he really can not get the belt on.
Maybe need a idler pulley or spring.
I would make sure it runs good and check out the deck. Spin the blades make sure no noise or wobble.
The engine is worth the money.
So if you can not fix it you spend $100 more for a mower with a bad engine and use the one have.
