Hey all, we've been having an issue with the hydraulic pump of a 'Lesco Z Two, zero turn 25hp' mower with a Kawasaki engine. Have a guy who can fix the pump but we have to remove it first to bring to him. That's where the problem arises...the shaft running vertically through the pump down to the pulleys underneath is giving us a head-ache, specifically the 1 pulley wheel underneath which won't come off!
Here's a pic of the pump (the pulley shaft/rod is poking up from the middle, after having removed the fan).
And here's a pic of the problem pulley from underneath (attached to that same shaft/rod), we need to remove this.
There's VERY little room to squeeze our fingers in above the pulley or get a fixed wrench in there...we tried lever/hammering it off, using a piece of steel with two holes drilled in it to 'pull' it off using two bolts up through the holes in the pulley (again, not enough room to work on the top side with a wrench...the nuts just spin), pretty much everything we can think of.
We assume the pulley is just pressed on there but maybe we're missing something? Do we need a 'pulley puller' or can we do this differently with stuff around the shop? Thank you in advance for looking at this!
