leaking hydraulic tank fitting

I have a Turf Cat 628D.While mowing hydraulic oil started spraying about 10' from under the mower. Stopped-shut off the mower and spraying stopped. Started to move mower sprayed again. Visual inspection showed leak was at the hose fitting where a 3/8" hose from the deck valve goes into the hydraulic reservoir. The hose was tight on the fitting, but the fitting itself seems loose in the rubber gromet (?) that it fits into .Loose in the sense that I can spin it in the gromet. My questions are...should there be that much pressure on that return (?) hose ?? The deck valve is connected to all the drive motors and the deck motor. My suspicion is that when I pressurize the wheel motors the deck valve is allowing too much pressure to that 3/8" return hose ?? Is there a problem with the deck valve?? Does the gromet ( I guess the parts manual calls it a bushing) simply press into the tank?? And then the 90 degree fitting into the bushing?? I have the tank out and while I can move the fitting I cant easily pop it out and don't want to force the issue until I come up with some advice.
I live on the Big Island in Hawaii and there are no dealers here to talk to in person. I have left messages to several dealers n CA but no returned call yet.

Any advise anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated Thanks Bill
