Lawn Machine 500 series

Mower stalls but will start running evenly if I tilt it about 45 degrees. Stalls again when set back down on all four wheels. Any ideas as to whats causing this?

Cause of this problem is probably a carb that is running to lean due to either a plugged idle jet and/or a float level that is shutting off the fuel to the float bowl too soon. I recommend cleaning and rebuilding the carb with a new float needle and seat.
