After seeing the neighbor having his lawn fertilized by a commercial service, I new I wanted a motorized stand up spreader. But doing some research I found the price of one of these devices range from $2000.00 to $6000.00 After analyzing what is involved in a commercial unit I thought I can make my own a lot cheaper. Thinking that trying to talk the WIFE into spending to much money on something to spread fertilizer on a lawn she doesn't care about is fruitless, so I put it on the back burner. Then one day I saw this GREAT DANE SUPER SERFER for sale on the way to work. I picked it up for a coupled hundred dollars and made my own fertilizer spreader. I also found that it gets into tight areas better than my other ZERO TURNS MOWERS so I made it a duel purpose MOWER/ FERTILIZER SPREADER-ATTACHMENT that can be removed. I fabricated the mufflers from scratch for about $10 each and they are VERY QUIET also made the gas tank, grass deflector, battery box and made a new stand platform, bigger for more comfort. I only have about $700.00 into it so everybody's happy. Fun winter project. ( HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE ) dde0e

You did an outstanding job on this mower! I am jealous! You brought that thing back from the dead with fresh paint and some repairs. Hope it serves you well.
