Howdy! I have an 8403 with a BBC and the spaceship muffler. My muffler has several small rust holes in it. I tried to roast the carbon out of it, and a lot did come out, but it still sounds like it's full. It almost sounds like sand. Anyways, I have another muffler as a replacement, but it's in the same shape. These spaceship, donut, whatever you want to call them mufflers suck. Does anyone have a late model BBC muffler for sale? What I mean is the type of muffler highlighted below. They're hard to search for as there isn't a single part number for the assembly. At least I could clean it out if I had one of these.
The whole thing. I want to replace my spaceship muffler before it rots out.
Thanks MM. I couldn't find a part number for the whole thing, just the individual parts. It's a little pricey, but at least I'll be able to clean it out.
