The original drag links were replaced at some point in the past with aftermarket adjustable ones. The ball joints are worn on the steering drag link. Does anyone know if a replacement ball joint is a particular (standard) size for this model? Has anyone replaced the ball joint on an adjustable (aftermarket) drag link and what did you use?

The seller of the drag links I purchased does not offer the ball joints as an item that can be purchased by themselves. I went searching for replacement ball joints when I saw that there are different sizes, and my search for replacement ball joints for a John Deere LA145 only produced the entire drag link with ball joint included as the result.

I'd like to only replace the worn ball joint to get my mower back in service.

According to JD Parts the LA145 had adjustable draglinks. Since the attachment nut is M10 I would assume the ball joint link is threads M10. Just need to know if 1.25 or 1.50 and if LH or RH threaded on the female end.

Here is some the specs possible.

Thank you. I looked at JD parts first and saw part #27, but hit the roadblock when I didn't see a listing for the ball joint only.
I did a general search and could not find any replacement ball joint that indicated it was for a LA145.
This information is McMaster Carr?
What is the difference between the neoprene rubber seal and the blended rubber seal? Does one have an advantage over the other?

You want the Neoprene rubber as it doesn't need regular relubing. The blended rubber needs regular lubing per the product notes.

And yes the data is from McMaster-Carr.
