New to this forum, my JD lawntractor LA135 22hp BS will not start, I can hit it with a little ether and it will fire then quit. I have change the fuel filter, air filter and plugs. any suggestions as to what to do next?
New to this forum, my JD lawntractor LA135 22hp BS will not start, I can hit it with a little ether and it will fire then quit. I have change the fuel filter, air filter and plugs. any suggestions as to what to do next?
Take the fuel line that goes from the fuel pump to the carb off. Run the line into a container to see if you have fuel coming from the pump. If not check the fuel tank 1st to see if the rubber gasket from the fuel cap hasn't broken off the cap and is blocking the fuel outlet (common problem). If all is clear and the fuel pump is pumping fuel the carb needs to be cleaned.
