I'am just looking under my machine, it looks like you have to remove steering column to replace drive belt. Right now belt looks good, but this is a 2006 model and i figure I'll change during winter.Overall is this a real hard job. thanks

not hard, remove gear from shaft, pull it up out of the way and replace after changing belt
