LA 125 whining noise

I have an LA125 mower (20Hp B&S 2 cylinder engine) with 181 hours. It runs fine, but makes a whining sound that is more pronounced when under a pulling load (up hills). There seems to also be a reduction in power to the wheels (not the blades). I'm suspecting a transmission problem, and would appreciate any input. Thanks.

Remove deck & check drive belt & idler pulleys for replacement. Use genuine JD replacement parts.
