We have a Kohler CV 740-0200 in the shop. We are doing the ignition coil update to get rid of the factory bad design. We updated the harness, installed the new coils, and now as we are trying to start it it will only act like it will try to start. We installed a new switch (old one was bad) and a new carburetor (float was sticking.) So...any ideas where we can look??? The engine is on a Bush Hog ZeroTurn. Thanks for any help!!!!

Put some gas or carb cleaner down The carb throat or in the plug holes.
Then turn it over and see if it fires.

SCROLL DOWN TO CV740, see page 19 in troubleshooting manual.

If you are trying to get rid of the Smart Spark {S.A.M.} setup, I believe you need to change flywheels as well.
