There has been a light tapping of the vales when I mow. Today that tapping got louder. I shut it down. Can the valves be adjusted or is the problem the lifters or etc. ? Has around 300 hours on it.
On that engine there is adjustable and non adjustable lifters. .003/.005 for adjustable valves. Other then that make sure you don't have a oil problem like gas in the oil. 300 hrs. isn't that many hrs. for that engine.
