I have a Kohler CV23S engine fro a JD130 and my quetion is did this model have the reed type crankcase breather? Seems the reed valve was never installed or wasn't used on this model. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The reed valve would be located either under the valve cover on the head left of the carb, or in the valley between the cylinders behind the intake manifold and carb. Just trace the breather tube coming off the air filter housing and that is were it would be located.
