kohler cv22s cranks does not fire. Replaced the following: New ignition moduals, new carb, new gas lines, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new gas, new square key, new stater, new fuel pump. Cylinder compression 90. Fuses look good, has spark. Have used starter fluid, nothing. Magnets are secure and look fine. Even tried spraying starter fluid directly on the cylinder. Think that's it, not much left to replace.

looks like you have tried about everything. Compression for that engine is low so that may be part of the issue. The Command twin doesn't use a compression release so compression should be more in the neighborhood of 160 psi.

I just ran across that info myself. Only checked one cylinder the other is a little hard to get at. Will check again on both cylinders. Thanks for the info. Hope it's not the valves or rings, don't know if I'm up for that kind of a job.

Do you have spark. If not check the wiring seen some go bad at the connections not allowing it to fire the coils. Also check the ground wire at the battery and at the engine block. When you turn the key on do you hear the clutch click when pulled out. Also listen to the carb to see if you hear the carb solenoid click. My guess is that your not getting the 12 volts which also related to the ground. Check the wiring.

Yes check to see if you have spark on both, if its not starting on anything....! seems to be on the spark side.

Checked compresion again in both cylinders. 115 psi in both. Is it possible the compression is lower in older engines? I think this engine is a 2000 or older.
