I want to change this Kohler CV15S 3 amp stator to 15 amp to use on JD 245 with electric pto. I know I need 15 amp stator and Voltage Reg. Do I also need to change flywheel to get more magnets? I know how to wire for this. I would prefer to just buy those 2 or else I will buy donor engine. I've searched on internet for hrs, thanks...

Should be no shorage of Kohlers with thrown rods or seized engines this time of the year.
Most repair workshops will have a box full of them from the blown engines they have replaced.Retail glass fronts won't cause they toss everything.
