Kohler CV15-41526 turns by hand with spark plug removed. Locks on compression stroke with spark plug installed. Did have too much oil in it. Does this sound like hydro locking and how do I remove the oil?
Already drained oil from the main oil plug. Spun the engine for a long time without the spark plug. Still locks up. Any suggestions?

Valve clearance probably needs adjusted.
Usually taking the spark plug out and spinning over the engine with starters should expel any oil.
Could also be you have a broken compression release laying in the bottom of the engine.
