When facing the exhaust ports on this engine, the right-side, exhaust, manifold flange is bent. If I place the manifold mating flanges on a flat metal surface, what is the maximum tolerance between the flat surface and the mating flanges?
The flange does not make the seal, the end of the pipe is what seals against the head
Mechanically, it is better if the flange is touching the head where the nut goes but it is not critical .
