KingCat PTO Clutch

I have a Cox Kingcat Model KR 7324 and the PTO pulley on the electric clutch is always spinning when the engine is running, can anyone tell me what has gone wrong or what may be the cause of this please.

Bearing failure is one possible. Electrical problem is another.

pull the plug
If it still spins the bearing is gone
And if that is the original PTO then it is about right as that mower is now at least 14 years old.
Worth replacing because as you know you can not kill a Cox
