Oil leak under engine, Dealer said it's the main seal you have to take hole engine out and replace main seal and drip pan gasket. any body done this is it a big job?
I put one off on a John Deere 717, it finally blew up due to lack of oil and stupidity. If I could go back I would fix the leak as I ended up parting the mower out. What is this engine on? When I took the mower apart, the engine was actually easy to remove, so im guessing that seal replacement shouldn't be to bad.

If you've got the time, patients and skill to do it i would deff do it yourself and save a couple hundred bucks in shop fees, just take your time and take some pics
