Dad passed away this spring and now its my turn to mow 4-5 acres. Mom and Dad would mow with 2 Poulan 42" riders. It would take them 10-12 hours total time. My wife and I mowed twice so far with a Cub cadet 1811 w/44c deck and another with a 50c deck. We could knock it out in 6-8 hours.
I've used a Scag turf tiger at my brother in laws clubhouse and knew that was the machine I needed. I got a 2001 STT 61" with a Kohler 25ch. Just mowed Saturday my son in law on the 1811/44c and me on the STT. Two hours later done. Man those STT are a beast. But the Cubs will get some use. My dad had given me the 1811/44c so it's not going anywhere.
