Jonh deere X305R steering plate

My X305R steering plate is worn in the middle so will not turn the wheels, could some one tell me which plate I would need, so many look alike or if it could be built up and then recut? Thanks Alan
 
First thing to go is the bushings but operators just ignore the problem until it get very expensive to repair.
  • 4 ea Bushings at $10.11 ea
  • 1 ea Steering Sector Gear at $166.03
  • 1 ea Steering Shaft at $256.82
Local dealer be willing to give you a discount but don't count on it.

As for welding the Sector Gear and Steering Shaft a machine shop might be able to do as these are precision gears and it will be just as expensive and time consuming.
