I have an older John Deere Sabre riding mower. Recently it operates fine for 1-2 hours but then sputters and dies at full throttle. It will then only start and run at about half power in Choke position. It will not operate properly again for 24-48 hrs but then will operate fine for the 1-2 hours.
I have changed the fuel filter and cleaned the carburetor. The oil is fresh and full, and I run only fresh 91 octane gas. The cooling fins are clear.
Any ideas??
