John Deere Rider Kohler 15 HP Dies after 10 Min Runnong

Have a issue with a John Deere Rider, when sitting for awhile starts right up, cuts grass 10 minutes engines dies, checked fir no spark, let mower set 5-6 hours may start right back up and then die, no spark, I am am thinking is a safety switch issue, my next move is to disconnect ground wire to engine after it dies and see if it will start back up, I think that is the direction I need to go in, if it starts, then I have to start checking switches, also this thing has 4 relays, does anyone know if they have a function in ignition working or not working, trying to fix this machine for a disabled friend, Thanks for any input you could provide.

My bet is the coil is going bad.

When it gets hot it grounds it self out.

Most times a safety switch works or it does not work.

Unhook the kill wire to the coil. If no spark then bad coil.
