I'm thinking of buying a 2009 John Deere LA 135 SE lawn mower with bagger from a friend. It has about 135 hours on the engine, new belts, and last summer I replaced a cylinder head and rebuilt the carb due to mouse nest damage.
It's been used on flat terrain but my friend does bag his grass so the mower had to move a good bit of weight. Never used to tow anything.
I don't want to lowball him but I see these on craigslist listed at $1200 and that seems way overpriced to me. I was thinking more like $800 since the Tuff Torq T40 will soon need a rebuild at 200-300 hours. Is that a fair price? I don't want to lowball my friend.
