I had to change the drive belt on my 165 and now it goes forward when in reverse and reverse in forward. Linkage looks to be installed correctly. How do I fix this?

It sure sounds to me like you installed your belt wrong. I believe that is the belt that it is installed and you have a haft of a twist in the belt to install it on the driven pulley. You must have it twisted wrong.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I thought also, even though it looks correct. Do you know if there is a diagram of the belt installation that I can get? I have the technical manual, but that doesn't say anything about a twist and the picture isn't exactly what mine looks like.

How I know about it is I had to install one in my shop this pass spring. The customers belt had broken and as I recalled I found something on the internet. As I also recalled it was a bear of a job to install and it seemed like I had to disconnect some steering linkage. The job was early spring and my memory isn't that good anymore.
