Recently purchased and when I try to put it in gear gears grind in the tranmission. The drive clutch on the engine continueously drives transmission before RPMs are increased. The clutch is quite complicated for this old man, any suggestions would be appreciated.

First of all, make sure the engine isn't idling too high, if i remember correct, the use a FE series Kawasaki engine or KF82, should idle around 1300 RPM. It isn't uncommom for a CVT to spin constantly, just as long as it isn't too fast.

Thanks for the quick responce. I knew it had to idle low and I will ckeck speed asap, but I also know the drive belt has to align perfectly and belt tension has to be correct.
