john deere 314 with a 18hp V-twin Kohler

I have a 18hp twin cylinder Kohler sitting around and I made a adapter plate to sit it in the cradle. As of right now it's in there like a fat man in a little coat, lol! Has anyone done this swap and can you lend me some assistance?
