John Deere 125 Automatic lawn mower

I have the above lawn tractor, it is a 2006/2006 model. Just started this problem. When engaging the blades it will die. Obviously a safety switch or something? Anyone kno for sure what part/s need fixing?

make sure all PTO parts are in working order, you have a manual drive PTO.
