It is a belt eating nightmare. Tried after markets as well as the $40 OEM. It is a 42" deck.

Belt life is dependant upon so many variables your post is meaningless .
Belts fail for a particular reason and the mode of failure will be indicated by the damage to the belt
We need to see the dead belts if we are going to be of any use to you
And telling us which belt is failing would be a good starting point your mower has 2 of them
