You saying you have a John Deere model 68. That's a old timer anymore. I am still running one of them myself to mow my camp. Mine starts on the first to second pull of the starter pull rope yet. Just can't kill them old model 68's. It is getting hard to find parts for them anymore and they just don't turn as sharp as the newer do.
