Need advice from one of you sharp guys who have successfully removed & replaced the traction drive belt on the 335 JD lawn tractor. Early step in maintenance manual instructs to remove tension spring. This spring is about 16" lg, 1 鐔 dia. w/maybe 3/16 dia. wire. I can not budge it! Need help in getting the right tool under there and getting an end of that spring off. Please help!!:

Hi I run two gx355s, I would assume the setup is very much the same. I used a length of solid metal rod, about 8-10 mm diameter and bent it into a v shape. Perfect for pulling said spring on and off
