I picked up a 318 and am going through it. The sight tube is a total kludge job/cluster snuggle. Pics are attached. The manual has no pics of what it should look like, the parts diagrams show just tubes and stuff in space. The actual sight tube mounts in the little stamped bracket, and I'm guessing the line runs from the back of the axle into the bottom of the sight glass, then out the top of the sight glass to the currently unused fitting on the side. Does this sound right? Is here a fill line on the sight tube?
