Hi everyone,
I have an JD 285 Lawn Tractor which does have a bigger problem after it got stuck during a mow session. During this last mow session the tractor gut stuck on the ground at an edge and had to be pulled out. After the pulling the tractor worked without any issues for 2 minutes and then an abnormal noise was coming from the motor. It sounded like a metal scraping from the drive shaft.
Tractor itself is moving fine and motor could be startet at any time without any issues but the noise will stay and the drivetrain for the attachments will bring the motor to a full stop when activated.
I did try to move all the pulleys by hand it it was possible.
Normaly I would start to dismantle the drivetrain, but i cannot find the drivetrain pictures at the spareparts list to get an idea how to start.
So, does anybody of you did had a similar Problem or an Idea where I should start with the repairs?
