You need the PTO switch, there are two sides to that switch (prevents trying to start the engine with PTO on).
in the On position power is applied to the clutch and the path from the starter solenoid to the key is OPEN...
in the Off position the side to the PTO clutch is Open, & the path from the key switch to the starter solenoid is Closed... If you are not going to use the PTO you could simply connect the two wires for the starter circuit together...:smile:KennyV
