jd 175 hydro

My 175 hydro just stopped working, was going around corner was going to give it more gas and nothing, it wont go forwrds or backwards, any help would be appreciated, I know the gear drives have a belt but I dont think the hydro's do. The engine does run and the blades turn, the mower just doesn't move.

Look up above the mower deck drive belt you should see your hydrostat drive belt or where it should be.
It sure sounds like a broken belt or a loss of tension on the belt.
Be sure to check the condition of the idler and tensioner pullies and bearings if the belt is broken or off.
Does a 175 have bolt on wheels or pin type?
I have a 111 (earlier) which has bolt on rims and a LX176 (later) with pin style.
Just wondering if you could have sheared off a drive pin?
Can you push it?
