Is there any cross reference on Craftsman riding mower parts?

I need a sector gear for my lawn tractor and there is a range of models from 917.255270 -279
or 917.255370 - 379
I'm sure there are many others.
I have part 677H954
677A244
677A1
100508L
Some from a LT 10 36 Lt 11 36 Lt 8 36.
It seems that if they changed one part they changed that model # .
Is there any salvage yards that ship parts in the USA?

:smile: Sorry for the late post. Craftsman/Sears use the manufactures part numbers. 917 being AYP/Roper. For used parts, try Patton Acres or Joes Outdoor Power.

:smile: You are Welcome. I have worked on plenty of those. I use all new parts, as I have found that mixing new and used parts does not work in the long run. By new parts, shaft and fan (selector gear) and new bushings. What is the MN: of the LT. I may have some good used parts.
