I have a Craftsman 10 hp riding lawn mower with a tecumseh carburetor. I had the carburetor cleaned and put back on it. I cannot get the lawnmower to idle. What am I doing wrong?

You may have a vacuum leak, or you may still have a small clog somewhere in your idle circuit of the carb. Even a very small bit can be an issue with these small engines.:frown:

Vacuum isn't an issue on 4 stroke small engines. Does it not idle down or die when it comes to an idle?

Don't know what carburetor you have. The Tecumseh carburetor has a press in plug on the outside of the carburetor. This is the idle circuit under it. You will find some real small holes under this plug, clean them out and install a soft plug in place of the press in plug. Also as said before make sure you have no vacuum leaks.
