I think I'll hang around for a few years...

The growth of this site has been nothing but GREAT.
The majority of the posts here are well worth the read. I have no real complaint.

Muhammad has done a stellar job setting this up. Like all the forums he is involved with... Easy to follow great layout, very good & fair forum rules & terms of use, everything is organized and allows a very usable search...

There are some comparisons with TBN, I think because a lot of us came here with a referral from TBN.

TBN has been around for years. It has OVER 2 MILLION posts with more than 91 thousand Registered Users... For the time this has been here I am not disappointed in any way.

I'm going to try to check in as often as I can just to watch us grow... :smile:KennyV

Well said, I just wish more members would start new threads more frequently and as often as you and I do...

Thank you guys! I appreciate the kind words. But must say that you (and other posters) have been nothing short of outstanding. It seems like every new member gets a fast answer to their question and so far we haven't had any issues at all with everybody getting along.

The demographic here is different than TBN and as such the nature of the discussions will be different. But I don't mind holding ourselves to extremely high standards, and using our success at TBN as a comparison. If we get to half of TBN's membership, posts and traffic, we'll have an incredible resource.

That said, I have a vision for this site beyond just the forum. In fact within the next couple of weeks you will see what I'm talking about. We can't do it without members of all levels of experience and knowledge, or without their suggestions, criticisms and occasional praise.

Muhammad, I see only ONE problem if LMF gets to half of TBN's membership, posts, and traffic...my wife already thinks I spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME on TBN, and I don't think she is even aware of LMF yet...just image the discord in my household when LMF expands, as I know it will...

HEY, I didn't say it was YOUR problem, did I...? Keep up the great work you are doing here.

That is so funny.

One thing I like about LMF is that, while there's lots of interesting discussion, nobody ever seems to get crazy/nasty.

As to the comparison to large forums like TBN, I like small forums a lot better. I think you'll agree that small forums such as this one are far more personal:thumbsup:.

I haven't made a habit yet of spending a lot of time here at LMF, but I hope to be here more often in the future!

Thanks for the great forum to all who were influential in making this forum what it is!

Yep, we're just a toddler forum. Looking to celebrate one year this May.

I keep reminding myself that it took us three years (from 1998-2001) to get 12,000 posts on TBN and we're already over 12,000 here in 8 months.

In my experience with other forums, TBN included, once you go beyond a certain point it's impossible to keep track of everything... and that applies to both members and admins. But you also need a certain number to keep things alive and interesting. Of course, once people hear about a great forum, it's tough to stop the new members from signing up.

Probably the best explination of this forums' rapid growth is directly related to the fact that it was started by a larger forum. From what I've been hearing, most of the members(excluding myself) came over from TBN. It would be nice to do a roll-call or poll to see how many of the members are not from TBN.

Right now about 1/4 of the members are not from TBN.

Hey Kenny, I'm gonna hang around too! We got real busy at work and I have been working long
hours. Getting up early and getting home late, leaves little time for anything else. We've been slow
for almost two years with the economy the way it is so when the work is here I gotta work. But I'm
not going anywhere I got a lot of things on my mind to ask and share with you all. This is a great
forum with guys like you and JD and everybody else for that matter, keep up the good work! I'll be
posting soon as it slows up a bit............cubby

I have to say that I like the friendly ambience of this forum. I am a member of all sorts of forums as I have a very wide range of interests but there is always something interesting to read and comment upon here.
