Got a '99 model 2503 Quad Loop with 60" deck. I just replaced the shaft inside the pump on the right side. (The splines wore out where it slips inside the T gear box) I also put a seal kit in the pump. My problem is that the pump doesn't want to prime. When I got it back together, I turned the wheel by hand to use the motor like a pump to circulate the oil. I can see the air bubbles moving inside the clear tubes for a while but they stop moving after approx. 10 seconds or so. It also appears that the pump is pushing air back through the suction line back to the tank. I have checked all the fittings and tightened them. I feel it is something simple but I just can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
