I am replacing the spindle assembly on a Husqvarna YTH21K46 riding lawn mower and trying to find out what the torque specs are for the bolts. Would anyone have that information??

Thank you,
JM

I replaced the center spindle on my Husq earlier this year, and like you, I found No specs. I gave these self tapping bolts about 45 lbs of torque, and all seems well. You don't want to over tighten them, as these spindles are made of fairly soft metal...a zinc alloy, I think.

Try pressure cast pot metal also known as scrap aluminum. There is no torque speck for a self tapping bolt such as that. You run them down until the washer face of the bolt bears against the bottom of the deck and no more because over tightening will cause the cast 'aluminum' spindle ear to break off. Because they are self tapping they are shake proof, IOW won't back out from vibration.
